Full professor at Insper. She holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), an M.Sc. in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), an M.Sc. in Statistics, and a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
She has been a visiting professor at the University of Michigan (USA) and an associate professor at the School of Economics of São Paulo at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (EESP FGV). Her research areas are econometrics and the economics of education.
She has published articles in various international journals, including The Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, and Review of Economics and Statistics.
Currently, she is a member of the “Latin American Standing Committee” of the Econometric Society and the Board of the Brazilian Society of Econometrics. She has also been an associate editor of the Brazilian Review of Econometrics.
